How to Unlock Apex Legends 4K Damage Badge

Apex Legends 4K DAMAGE Badge Guide

If you’re aiming to secure your first 4K Damage Badge in Apex Legends, you’ve come to the right place. This is the ultimate tutorial you’ll find, packed with top-notch tips to help you achieve this coveted badge. Follow these steps, and we can assure you that you’ll earn your first 4K Damage Badge.

Show Off

Show off your skills in Apex Legends with various avenues like Masters, Apex Predator, and rare badges such as Arenas Win Streak. The 4K Damage Badge, known as Legend’s Wrath IV, requires players to deal at least 4,000 damage in a single match, making it one of the most sought-after achievements.

Experienced Apex Legend Player

As a player who has unlocked the 4K Damage Badges on all legends, I have discovered several strategies to make this challenging task more manageable. However, it is essential to note that there is no universally “easy way” to earn this badge, despite what some videos or articles might suggest.

Which is better for 4K DAMAGE Badge Duos or Trios?

Duos mode is the best for achieving a 4K damage badge due to longer matches with more players alive in the late game. It’s great for farming damage, but dropping solo is recommended to inflict solo damage. Partnering up is a viable option if concerned about being knocked or taking on 1v2 battles.

Bringing a friend to Apex Legends

Should you decide to bring a friend, I’d recommend they choose from Ash, Valkyrie, Newcastle, Gibraltar or Loba. The first two are excellent for locating enemy squads, while the latter three serve as exceptional support characters in case you get downed or require some shielding.

Can I play Trios in Apex Legends?

In Trios mode, getting a 4K badge is possible but harder as teams can be eliminated quickly. You’ll need to align objectives with squad mates to avoid losing damage towards the end.

Map Rotations

Olympus Map

Olympus is the best map for getting a 4K badge in Apex Legends due to its size and long sightlines. These allow for easier engagement from a distance while still allowing for easy rotations to fights.

World's Edge Map

World’s Edge is also a viable option, but remember that a large portion of the lobby tends to drop at Fragment West and East.

Storm Point

Storm Point presents a unique challenge; its massive scale can be both an advantage and a drawback. While you may find games with many players remaining after the first ring, there are also matches where you’ll spend an inordinate amount of time searching for opponents.

Where to Drop in Apex Legends?

Drop in a popular area on World’s Edge, but not directly in the eye of the storm. Avoid the massive construction building due to its popularity among other teams. Opt for a larger building on the outskirts and work your way towards the action. Aim for one team to contest your spot for early damage.

My favourite place to land

My absolute favourite landing spot when pursuing a 4K badge is Carrier on Olympus. Typically, you’ll encounter one enemy team vying for control of this area, setting you up for easy rotations into Fight Night, Docks, or Oasis, depending on where other teams have landed.

Weapon Recommendations in Apex Legends

This is where personal preferences come into play. Regarding weapon selection, my advice leans toward using whatever you’re most comfortable with. However, I do strongly recommend having some long-range options for poking at enemies.

Long range weapon selection

Hemlock

The Hemlock Burst AR is an assault rifle that utilizes Heavy Rounds. It may be switched between 3-shot burst and semi-automatic fire modes.

R-301

The R-301 Carbine is an assault rifle that utilizes Light Rounds. It can be switched between fully automatic and semi-automatic fire modes.

Flatline

The VK-47 Flatline is an assault rifle that utilizes Heavy Rounds. It can be switched between fully automatic and semi-automatic fire modes.

Nemesis

The Nemesis is an assault rifle introduced in Season 16 that utilizes Energy Ammo. It fires in a 4-round burst but, unlike other burst weapons.

Charge Rifle

The Charge Rifle is a railgun introduced in Season 3 that utilizes Sniper Ammo.

Sentinel

The Sentinel is a bolt-action sniper rifle introduced in Season 4 that utilizes Sniper Ammo. When the shots are correct, the Sentinel’s rate of fire increases.

G7 Scout

The G7 Scout is a semi-automatic battle rifle that utilizes Light Rounds.

What are our goals in Apex Legend?

The goal is to have a way to consistently chip away at enemy health from a safe distance, allowing you to accumulate more damage over time. Additionally, you’ll want a reliable close-range weapon for when enemies get aggressive or to eliminate a downed foe quickly.

Close range weapon selection

R99

The R-99 SMG is a fully-automatic submachine gun that utilizes Light Rounds.

Car

The Combat Advanced Round SMG (shortened C.A.R.), is a fully-automatic submachine gun introduced in Season 11 that utilizes both Heavy Rounds and Light Rounds.

Volt

The Volt SMG is a fully-automatic submachine gun introduced in Season 6 that utilizes Energy Ammo.

Re-45

The RE-45 Auto is a fully-automatic pistol that utilizes Light Rounds.

Prowler

The Prowler Burst PDW is a submachine gun that utilizes Heavy Rounds.

Peacekeeper

The Peacekeeper is a lever-action energy shotgun that utilizes Shotgun Shells.

Be Patient in Apex Legends

To earn a 4K damage badge in Apex Legends, patience during fights is crucial. You need to know when to reset during an engagement rather than risking death when you and your opponent both have low health. Finding cover is wiser than engaging in a risky duel.

What is the principle?

To get the 4K badge, luck plays a role in factors like remaining teams, enemy behaviour and loot quality. Taking breaks and recognizing that you can’t control every variable is important as securing the badge won’t happen quickly and may require many attempts.

Toying with Your Meal in Apex Legends

To win a 4K damage badge in Apex Legends, poke enemies from a distance instead of immediately downing them. By inflicting damage without finishing enemies off, they’ll seek cover and heal, giving you more chances to rack up damage.

Leave your enemies to revive

Allow enemies to revive teammates near Respawn Beacons for easy extra damage or another target. Consider dropping Shield Batteries for opponents when they are out of healing. Finish off downed enemies in the last squad for an additional 100 damage.
